on a cloudy september monday, i bought a little notebook from a bookstore, and began collecting the addresses of friends. the day before i left for the ultra awesome malacca trip, i went to the post office alone to get some stamps, with the intention to send postcards from malacca to a few friends.
i remembered how happy and surprised i feel whenever i received something in the mailbox; be it a postcard, greeting card, letter, or even surprising, a parcel. i love the feeling of being remembered. i thought when somebody decided to send me stuff, they remember me. and maybe miss me as well :) it's not fair that ever since internet invaded our lives, physical mails aren't that popular anymore.
anyway, apart from receiving mails, sending mails are pretty exciting too! because you wouldn't know whether the letter will reach the sender or not, when will it reach and how would the sender feel upon receiving it! it normally made me feel anxious, and puzzled all day long. such unknowns in life are examples of things that keep me breathing everyday.
postcard: RM0.80;
stamp to uk/ireland/australia RM1.50;
value? priceless.
nothing beats making a friend surprised and delighted.
so dear friends, give me your address so that i can post you something next time :)
p/s: dearest lin, i don't know will you read this post or not... but the hand-made card that you sent to me all the way from uk really made my day. i was truly touched.. thank you <3
(:
